Chris Turner is not a politician. Although he has accomplished much in his life, most of which involves serving and protecting others, being a politician is not one of those things. Until now. With a desire to make an impact and influence change for our area, Chris will pursue answers that will benefit the people of District 9.

It is my pleasure to endorse Chris Turner for District 9, Louisiana State Representative. As a small business owner, military veteran, and retired law enforcement officer, Chris knows what affects our community.

When I served as a board member of our community Home Owners Association (HOA), Chris contacted our Board of Directors about having a License Plate Reader Camera System installed at the entrance to deter theft. At that time, our HOA did not have the funding for the camera system. Chris single handedly spearheaded a grass roots campaign for donations to secure the funding for the system. Additionally, Chris worked very closely with the Bossier Parish Sheriff Department to bring in the L.O.C. (Look, Observe, Contact) program to our area.

Being a veteran myself, I can tell you firsthand that Chris is a true patriot. Chris served with distinction during Operation Desert Storm and will be an outstanding liaison with the command at Barksdale Air Force Base as well as our growing active duty military and veteran community.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and serving with Chris Turner for over 25 years in the United States Marshals Service (USMS) our great nation’s oldest federal law enforcement agency. Chris embodies the USMS moto “Justice, Integrity, and Service.” His service to our country and state did not begin there. Chris is a US Army Veteran and served as a LA State Trooper before striving to better his position to help others. Many people have great ideas to represent the greater interest of their community, state, and country. However, Chris Turner has the fortitude, education, experience, and strong Christian family values to fight relentlessly to get things done. “Talk is cheap” as we all have heard. Chris Turner is more than a man of words, he is a man of action!
